It is interesting that China continues to build more coal fired power plants despite media articles stating otherwise...
It wouldn't be surprising to see Yancoal given preference for export to China- it would be a huge advantage imo.

And on renewables for power generation, these things generally have life of around 25yrs. A fact not openly discussed.

Furthermore, with inadequate infrastructure currently in place, I see unrealistic time-frames in this transition to renewables. Added to this will be the increasing, massive costs as time goes on.

Cracks are appearing with the big increases in the costs of energy. It is already becoming a headache for government.

I think coal will be around for a while yet.
