When starting up and adding the solution to the injection well there is limited flow at the start as the solution must permiate through the mineral (uranium) hosted sandstone causing softening, untill softened optimal flow is not reached. To get the flow to travel to the production well you must pump the solution out to cause the flow to draw from the injection well towards the production well. Until the sandstone is softened you will have limited flow and limited minerals dissolved at initial startup and the solution recovered will be diluted. This is why the solution is fortified and then injected back into the injection wells.
