Controlled precipitation would have it's pluses and minuses.
Plus is that it speeds up the precipitation process that otherwise takes 2 years, could potentially be shortened by half. This brings forward cashflow which helps the NPV.
Plus is that the flotation recoveries will be high, or at least higher than with uncontrolled precipitation.
Plus is that less pond surface area is required
Op costs may not be much higher if solar PV is used to heat the solution, making it a continuous process with cheaper harvesting rather than a batch process harvesting costs.
Minus is that the capital costs will be higher to add solar PV precipitating process equipment.
Minus is that it adds a new process which is untested at scale.
Minus is that KLL and SO4 aren't doing this, so there's no piggyback benefit from their efforts.
Minus is that the share price is in the toilet right now
