Each of these operations in and of itself involves massive invasive churn to large footprints of land.
It's pretty clear that (in the past) the 500km between Perth and Gerladton has been open for business - and unless some of that hypercritical wildlife has exclusively tiny habitats, given the right words in the right application forms, large scale destructive mining is par for the course.
As Cinnabon said in Singapore, once you get EPA approval, losing it is unhead of.
