No one said they feared the sky falling in. It might well be a good thing for the company - but it's significant nonetheless.
IP has been with AGS since Oct 2003 and he takes with him complete insider knowledge (and a confidentiality clause in his contract no doubt).
Resignations are never insignificant, for whatever reason or reasons given. They usually denote promotion, conflict (or "poor performance" as billy says) or the much favoured "family reasons' - maybe even a Julia type resignation (slater and gordon) or, like previous directors from HG and AGS, not wanting to be drawn into the litigation ..
But to think it's not significant at this point in the legal process seems to me naive ..
