It appears that a large Lepidolite mine has been closed in China - talk is that battery producers were rejecting up to 70% of available LiO2 from lepidolite for impurities, also some say battery fires involved.
Also released last week that Greenbushes (china control) was to be pushed to max.
I expect heaps of China M&A interest in new Li production going forward. Current spike could bag a few.
