They didn't have trouble getting the megabit array going. They ran a platform lot without transistors to validate the integration process. That was a success. Now they are adding another layer of complexity to the next platform batch by including the use of transistors and upping the cell density, using the process conditions from the platform lot that was started in April.
If this had been a failure we would be doing another platform lot without transistors.
