I remember a time when I told this community in 2018 that we were 4-5 years away on advice I had gotten from the industry veterans I had talked with...
I was poo-pooed.
I wont say I told you so... but it is pretty clear the industry experts whose opinions I sought definitely knew what they were talking about.

edit for clarity: the wild card is WD suddenly deciding to acquire if they feel they've seen enough/ close enough to production... that is always an outside chance.
