You weren't around for these discussions so your research is probably flawed. We did in FACT discuss at length the harbour. Here's just a few threads:
The poster ponzisurvivor was a local who kept the forum updated on bulk magnetite and other stockpiles and infrastructure at the port. He was a great contributor with FACTUAL info, and even photo's if I recall correctly.
No one said that bauxite could not be shipped, more of a question "could QBL EVER get it done?", answer is "nope". Could they even get a parcel shipped to a Chinese refinery for bulk test work? "nope". Could they deliver the employment and flourishing economic boom for the area? "nope". How about those dividends? "nope".
These are all FACTS @Neil1959 no need to try and spin history to suit your argument, you weren't there, but I certainly was...
