Agree 100% with you on the first point. Maybe you should qualify your statement about research, what sort of research?
Charts.... In my opinion charts are a little bit like tea leaves or fishing reports. One of the main things that I have learnt from charts is to look for medium to short term patterns associated with company announcements and or forum generated hype!

Do you mean other companies or research on the company being discussed?
