If it was a demo to engineers a deal would never have come out of it, hence they specify the next step is to meet with the Home Automation division. We can assume this is with people who make decisions, not engineers.
I think this is positive, it confirms a successful test, plus admission into the IoT Solutions Alliance.
Not a good announcement for those wanting to pip trade, but a good one for LT as boxes are being ticked.
