What news?
I read that many companies related to the mining industry are cutting back on staff, especially in mining services. Infact, Mining Services Stocks are probably the most hated on the ASX.
I also read that westrac, a supplier of heavy equipment to the mining industry, owned by Kerry Stokes, will cut a quarter of their workforce (630 Jobs) due to the slow down in new projects
I am obviously reading the wrong publications.
