What I would like to know is why the EPA have allowed Alcoa to leave the landfill in the ground. This is a hazardous waste material, and they had the opportunity to make them accountable and remediate the site. MHM appear to have been able to offer assistance to do this, so the EPA should have ensured Alcoa did the right thing before leaving the country.
This isnt a good look for parent company Alcoa or the EPA, especially when an alternative appeared to be available to them.
I would like MHM to give an explanation as to why this didnt occur.
Were we not able to do the job.
Did we not pressure the EPA, or did Alcoa simply have too many big legal guns for the EPA to handle.
