no - what it would be is that CTP would join a group as the supplier of the gas. all it would be doing is trying to secure a GSA/ Offtake agreement.
so CTP would want a seat at the table.
there is no pipeline without the gas.
gas supplied from somewhere like Alice, would have a rather better transport pricing advantage than gas coming from offshore halfway to East Timor.
imho, RC is a pretty savvy operator, and he is making sure that a minnow like CTP endeavours to get a seat at the table.
