I have to respectfully disagree there.. The principle investigator isn’t a government pen pusher.. They are usually a doctor (most likely a cardiologist in this instance), who has to design the study, run the recruitment and data collection and then author the results.. Finding someone last minute with the relevant expertise, mid way through an approval process, with studies ongoing is a disaster.. The 3 month wait would be a pretty standard timeframe to find someone and is definitely the least concerning part of the recent company update for me.
