the increased rates effect happened anyway as the debts were sold off by the banks at a fraction of the price... about 5 to 10% of book value.All loaded with ridiculous double digit IRs. Why are the customers not offered these favourable settlements?? The immorality kicks in when vultures swoop in and harass the begeesus out of vulnerable customers over debts that they know full well know they only paid a fraction of.
