I agree with you entirely @Tarvold and to @bigtool I say that after you offer to settle all debts for 20c or less in the $ the vultures within our society will swoop in and ruin our lending corporations and financial system by paying only a fraction of which they full well knew they had promised to pay back. Those that really cannot pay now or in the future and can prove it are exonerated and protected by our current legal system by the authorities which regulate it. Bankruptcies can only be taken now for debts above $20000. Read the regulations @bigtool and see what AFCA has indicated about Lion Finance and its owner CLH. You cannot contact beyond a set number of times per week or threaten heavy consequences to debtors like you could 30 years back when I was in the industry. Pricing that sort of risk into bad debt loan purchases requires considerable leeway and some skilled and resilient staff to collect it.
