the AFCA is a toothless tiger which is why the likes of CCP in particular flout such rules. If you want to chase these opportunistic returns from shaking down single mums and cancer victims then go for it, but don't cry when the practice is banned and the dodgy collection outfits go with it. One of the problems confronting these guys is that when CCP, Lion, Panthera or any other similarly silly named outfit breaches the law, the original debt holder remains responsible for the conduct of such collection, which is why the banks are backing away from this practice.
