Yet another example of journalists seeking sensationalism and not fully understanding what they are writing about.
Roche claims 99.8% specificity for its product. Wondfo claims 99.6% specificity. The University of California San Francisco evaluation of Wondfo showed 100% specificity.
The Roche website shows its Electsys product to have 65.5% sensitivity at 1-6 days and 88.1% at 7-13 days. Wondfo claims 95% sensitivity by day 5 of infection.
IF manufacturers’ claims are to be believed (a big IF) then Wondfo has superior specifications to Roche.
