If they are available, and the news is significant (significant enough that the wafers can't be integrated with the MB array), then they would have had to report it. - But, while testing has been delayed, they've had a chance to do some more other work - specifically, they "facilitated strategic meetings between representatives from Western Digital, imec and the Company". - This resulted in "Western Digital provid[ing] specific input on the process conditions for the Additional Wafers".
So - whilst testing on the first MB integration isn't complete, WD had a chance to do some analysis and request some changes to the recipe for the next batch. Which doesn't mean the first batch is a write-off - they would have had to report if that was the case.
I don't see this as a bad thing.
But - on the down side, it's now confirmed there'll definitely be a 2nd platform lot. So - bit more hanging around.
