Jackfrost, why now?

Because the performance of the wafers is not yet exhausted. WD have some ideas of their own to test improvements in the characteristics and because this is a good use of time in the current crisis.

The way I imagine it, the performance of the wafers is improving with each batch exponentially, as mentioned by some attendees of the AGM last November.

WDs suggested changes aim to capture the maximum threshold of the chip, so that it can be priced appropriately.

WD wouldn't bother getting involved if the water was unacceptable.
