I don't think you are factoring in that 14% growth on last month is the same steady growth as what we saw in July and August. The higher the order numbers climb per month the lower the % increase if it continues to grow at the same rate.
ie 500 additional orders per month starting from 2500 orders:
1st month = 20% increase (500/2500*100)
2nd month = 16.6% (500/3000*100)
3rd month = 14.2% (500/3500*100)
