yes, i don't want them paying huge dividends. my personal forecast i did based off March Qtr and interim report, i was estimating around 12 - 13 cents, so not that much higher than what they forecasted in this announcement.
i would much rather see big capital returns, for that to happen they need to invest in the company in new incoming producing assets. paying dividends does not produce income for the company. simple.
like you said, these high coal price times wont last forever and they do need to make the right decision now, whatever that is. personally as much as i like to see money in my bank account, i do believe the BOD and management really need to look at growing the company as the #1 priority now that two large borrowings have been removed from the balance sheet.
