as im not so savvy in this space, i basically interpreted it to mean, whatever change we made has infact caused a different problem. So maybe its a matter of tweaking the solution they used to fix the etch problem, or forgoing a "slight degradation in endurance"?
They were so so certain (so it appeared) that it would work. all signs pointed to that. as soon as they completed the short loop ken came on board.
Im not sure what to make of it. Either theyre making the problem out to be harder than it is, or the short loop never actually worked . but i dont know how the latter could be true.
I think they may have jumped the gun, as they had time to come up with a solution with the last trading halt super extension.
this time they wanted to save face and let everybody know there was an issue as soon as possible. They havent even had time to assess the issue.
the whole announcement reads like somebody has just gone into panic mode but may not have needed to.
just my opinion.
