From my perspective, this announcement is infinitely more positive than anything we've had in 2 years.
A parallel process is what they should have been doing all along. Instead of running 20 wafers all the same, explore different processes with differing chemistry and process over the lot. Chances are GREATLY increased they'll find a method/chemistry/process that will work.
I've been vocal in favour of this for the longest time.
Effectively, they are trying to unlock the unknown and using the same combination 20 times at once, hoping it works. How about 20 combinations and see what gets you the closest and fine tune that..
I believe they have been crap shooting and now they're putting some logical odds to the test here.
