Northern Water Supply project could be a game changer for IRD

Business case and preferred site to be announced by Q2 (ie: this month)

Should Cape Hardy get announced as the preferred site for the desalination plant, it essentially means industrial scale water supply for CEIP, Amp’s future hydrogen operation and the copper mines etc.

The market will probably once again miss the importance of this, but if Cape Hardy gets announced as the preferred site, its a game changer for CEIP IMO.

And don’t think for a moment Fortescue isn’t sniffing around - they have a hydrogen business too under FFI, so potentially could have been a bidder on the hydrogen.

If the pieces come together this project could finally happen…
