So it appears to me that with a change of Govt the format for dispensing monetary assistance to infant industries is going to be distributed through a different funnel. Out with Liberal govt labelled benefits and in with Labour titled programmes.
What will be worth watching is the events re Amp at Whyalla that have received funding.
In Amp company promotion there are pretty pictures of construction taking place yet no construction activity can be seen on google earth.
Will Amp forsake the Wyhalla site in favour of a bare greenfields site at Cape Hardy. IRD has plans for water and wind for green H2
I don't think CEIP is a stranded asset. It is just a big asset to swallow.
G Reinhart couldn't get the go ahead for her "stranded" magnetite project until she got the Labour govt to allow more specialised immigration workers to come to Australia. The bankers to the project would not agree to fund the project until there was certainty re the labour force.. Until then Southdown was stranded.
