Productivity Commission chairwoman Danielle Wood has issued a fresh warning against risks in the Albanese government’s push to use taxpayer resources for green energy industrial investments, including in the prime minister’s declared priority area of battery making.
Once governments adopt industrial policy, there is a risk that a lot of money gets thrown at parts of the economy, she said, where Australia does not have a comparative natural advantage.

Perhaps she might change her mind if she ever hears about this tech.
