What you say is correct and it soon will be worth more than just your 2c.
For this share to return 100 % on your investment right now ... it only has to go to around 5.6c. Now if that ain't a bargain I don't know what is.
The fact 4DS, Imec and WD are still persisting tells me that they think it's worth it ... and if they think that, then who am I to question it? ... especially when I can buy a slice of the action for only 2.7c ... and if by chance Platform 5 solves the previous problem ... well, the return on my investment will be huge.
Yes it's a gamble ... but a calculated one with extremely good odds and with all the patent protections in place should the tech succeed.
