A bile tract cancer patient in Imugene's Phase 1 MAST trial remains a complete response, now surpassing more than two years in remission.

This is obviously outstanding news for the patient as they had previously failed a significant number of prior treatments.

But the question still remains, is this patient an ‘outlier’? Put simply, an outlier is an extremely high, or extremely low data point, relative to the rest of the dataset. Perhaps even a ‘one-off’. An outlier can be very useful if it points you in a new and potentially positive direction, provided it also comes with specific ‘attached’ clues that can explain the ‘exception’. This can guide you. It is a learning point.

As Ragnarolf has stated so well, this CF33 trial needs more time to clear pseudo progression and further develop the patient’s own immune system, before we can say this is a ‘winner’. We are not there yet. I certainly need to see more data ... like the sixth month readout on this first expansion cohort. If we can’t repeat some level of ‘response’ in these patients, the company will struggle even more.

I certainly hope that this is not the announcement upon which the company will ‘build’ their next credit raise. I think we need something more ... if this is not to hurt a lot more.

Just my opinion, as I wait for more critical data.
