In Urosepsis, it's not about counts in urine so much but rather the bacterial counts in blood that matter.
For a while, I felt Urosepsis is a good space for RCE. Urosepsis accounts for 20% of deaths in the undeveloped world and accounts for a large number of hospital admissions in the developed world. Sometimes admissions are long stays while blood cultures are awaited and the patient recovers from the devastating effects of sepsis secondary to a UTI that has migrated to the bloodstream. If the drug of choice is broad spectrum and has rapid action it will be a winner.
I see other Urological applications in the long term. Since RCE's drugs are polymer-based it might be a good integration for plastic medical devices like urinary catheters as these are a primary source for Urosepsis.
