I had an HwB order in early October 2021 and the next one a few days ago.
Provided it's not using a 'check number' at the end, if we assume the numerical sequence is unbroken, there appear to have been 42628 orders placed in 62 calendar (not business) days, at an average of 687 a calendar day.
So 34 in half an hour during the pre-Christmas high point is eminently credible. That's better than one order a minute!
Forgetting about delivery costs, let's be conservative and suggest that each order number is for only one hamper (which may well not be so, depending on how HwB treats bulk orders), and it brings in revenue of $50 a hamper (again likely to be an underestimate, since even my orders have been for a higher median, and I'm not some company executive splurging on gifts for staff or clients at the end of a calendar year), that gives revenue of $2.13 million.
If we increase the median hamper price by 20 per cent and then change the hypothesis to say bulk orders are given a single order number, the revenue will be far, far greater than indicated.
Agree that PTL could well be on a winner. All should be revealed in February 2022, though I'd want to see FY 22 results as 2H should always have lower hamper sales despite Easter and Mother's Day: neither as 'big' as Christmas.
Every recipient I've spoken to has been pleased with the quality and inclusions. As always, some hampers will be way better value than others, but it's very subjective given tastes vary widely.
