Since the last check on 30 September, HwB's Alexa rankings as at 7 October (bearing in mind there's a lag of a couple of days in the measurements) have shown a divergence.

The worldwide ranking for the site has risen from #140931 to #140881, a gain of 50 places. The Oz ranking has slipped from #2393 to #2570, a reduction of 177 places in relative visitation numbers.

Lockdowns in Greater Sydney and Greater Melbourne remain. When Sydney 'opens up' (supposedly on Monday 11 October if my reading is up to date), one would expect the HwB site to suffer a further fall in viewer numbers as if people can travel to visit each other, in theory there's less need for 'personal' hampers to be ordered.

We are also in the period when it's almost a month away from major special events such as the Melbourne Cup (though Spring Racing Carnival starts well before the first Tuesday in November) and Christmas is still distant, at more than 75 days away. Before both these times, it's likely that corporate hamper-sending activity ramps up, COVID-19 or not.

All things considered, HwB's continuing good online presence remains a plus factor in a highly competitive subsector.
