As many of us know, it's common for 'review sites' to attract the disenchanted. As they've had a bad experience, they often want to either, Good Samaritan-like, let others know, or less frequently, want to 'pay back' an hotel proprietor, airline management or attraction operator for what the reviewer suggests is bad service, unpunctuality, staff rudeness or aggression or many other actual or perceived slights.
The Australian 'Product Review' site is no exception.
However, it's a very good sign that Hampers with Bite achieves 4.3 out of 5 on this review site. From the range of addresses, it just cannot be staff or the family that previously owned it (until PTL bought it) submitting fake reviews.
There are six times the number of '5/5' ratings compared to '1/5' ratings. The latter are often about deliveries on the 'wrong day', or delays. That wasn't my experience but as has been publicised, Australia Post, Singapore Post-owned Couriers Please, Toll Express and others are extremely busy due to the NSW and Victorian lockdowns, as that's about 15 million people potentially ordering more online compared to the 'normal times' ability to go to MYR, JBH, HVN and so on. (Oz's population is only 25.5 million).
Notably, of the reviews I read, almost all were submitted by the fairer sex, which is in line with my hypothesis that most 'personal' hampers are ordered by women, and often for other women, be it their mothers/daughters/grandmothers and so on.
For businesses, it might be a different story.
