I don't understand why people continued to hold after the option lapsed.
CRH would have looked out past the next 2-5 years and said "is there any chance of this working in that timeframe?"
If there was even a slight chance they would have taken it - the terms were so generous for them and the possible profits so gargantuan. Alas, no such chance could be foreseen.
I'm a fool for not listening to Troopy but how did people reconcile CRH forgoing this with the idea there was a future for this?
And people of course are looking to blame management for their own mistakes. Be accountable for your own decisions. Nobody forced you (or me) to invest.
