Agree it's hard to understand or appreciate the value of the message they are trying to convey in this announcement. There's just no context to the company's current circumstances and direction. As a non-scientist its impossible for me to understand the signifiance of what a therapeutic lead is. I invest accross a number of companies so I need them to put their milestone achievements into context for a non industry expert. They must answer the key question "so what?" and how will this impact me as a shareholder.

I look at the balance sheet, the cash burn and its an ugly picture but as far as I know this news could mean they are going to be the next CSL. I think when investors are confused they sell. I am sure the task of explaining this business isn't an easy one but nevertheless it needs to be done better. I agree with @triage, someone needs to put this into investor language.

When read the top five highlights (which I have done a few times) it says to me that they:

1. completed a project on time and on budget
2. They claim the results offer the company new intellecutal property (with no context)
3. They acheived a world first for the most EFFORT made in a project like this
4. The data validates their whole business model (again no context to support such a claim)
5. Becasue they completed this project they want to spend more money (again with no context)

Very frustrating when I am worried about if they have enough cash to get this business to profit and can demonstrate sustainable growth which is what I see as validation of their business model.

Despite this, I do think their recent performance, strong growth, strategic relationship with SONIC, and the efficacy of their products together with the space they are in generally makes MAP a great opportunity so I am still a buy on this stock and the reason I have done so. Maybe their inability to sell the storey behind this company is an opportunity to buy cheap but who know so do your own research?

We may just have to wait until their numbers do the talking which is what I am relying on at this stage and will certainly be something everyone will understand.
