So help me out here. How does the shortfall sitting out there affect things? I am no market expert, but am i right in this - some brokers (from the announcement it seems to be SP Corporate Advisory and Evolution) basically have a $1m market sell order - it might not appear on the screen, but any time the bid gets to the offer price they will hit it?
Is that how it works? If so, thats not great.
Or, does the company sort of have some discretion and the broker only hits the bid if the company elects to? I have seen the wording in the announcement, i just dont know practically how these things play out. Anyone with experience, interested in your thoughts.
