Will be more like two to three months before we see any results and no guarantee that by then the share price will be well north of 2cents so I don't believe in the theory that directors have purposely made an immoral decision to delay progress. If anything I suspect directors may have preferred to see oppies in the money (maybe not so many of them) and a guaranteed flow of extra $7mill in the kitty. There's definite risk as, if initial drill results don't give the expected results and share price appreciation they'll be needing to raise new cash at much lower than 2cents. They'll need more cash in the next few months regardless of results.
