Maybe cleanest from a mechanics viewpoint. However, there is serious bad blood from perceived unfair tactics in the shareholder base. From a human/personnel relations, emotional intelligence point of view I'd surprised you can discount that so readily.
I'd be happy to hear from people who have a business management specialisation in their background on this point.
