The intrigue of what Skip is going to do in response to these offers grows by the day. As far as I’m aware, we still have radio silence from them which suggests to me that there are some behind the scenes discussions going on to either (a) have J Power increase their SoA price in order to secures Skip’s acceptance or (b) working out terms for Skip’s continued participation in the successful bid entity.

If Skip had a firm view to simply reject or accept the SoA, why wouldn’t they have announced that. If Skip were to commit to accept, I’d expect GNX and J Power to be letting everyone know to increase the chances of a 75% yes vote because it would tempt those not wanting to be a locked in minority to the higher SoA price.

It would also be good if the independent committee of the GNX board issued an update on how the proxy votes are sitting as of today for the Scheme meeting. On the basis J Power have access to this, it’s reasonable that it be shared with the market.
