"Accelerate Resources (AX8) has completed a maiden drilling campaign at its Comet Gold Project near Cue in Western Australia.Last month, the company began a drilling program, which included 17 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes at 1212 metres at the Antarctica and Comet East prospects.The aim of the program was to further investigate the area and extend shallow, high-grade, oxide gold intersections from historical reconnaissance RAB and RC drilling. Accelerate has collected 740 samples which have been submitted for fire assay analysis and have been dispatched to the laboratory."The program was successfully completed with holes generally intersecting the targeted banded iron formation and other potential mineralised positions as planned," the company said. The results from the program are expected in the next couple of weeks and the company will then look to plan its next work program."
