They do state the processing plant is better economically if situated near Geraldton, but as the above mentions, after the wait I would have like to have seen a little more analysis, and just listing the benefits of the one processing site but no further detail how this is better than the benefits of onsite processing, I think it's a little lacking. But, zero surprises so I guess that is good.
My thought is government and NAIF are probably much more in favour of of this plan, which AVL can't exactly come out and say, but I think it's at least a part of the decision that is left out of the announcement, and likely a contributor to financial backing, so for me that is a hidden plus.
