i'm not a conspiracy theorist - quite the opposite - but I think into's do have an incentive to push the price down around entitlements offers etc and they may well walk the price down as low as possible to acquire more shares cheaply (basically at the expense of private shareholders, and other holders who can't take up the offer (eg, insto's outside Aust and NZ)). Some holders may also sell existing shareholdings, and buy the newly issued ones ... again, downward pressure on the share price in the short term. Often the price, even if initially priced at a discount, can spend some time at lower levels. So I'm with you on this one GarryW.
