Interesting snippet in the Money of Mine daily email this morning suggesting that someone/ some group is interested in talking down SPR. In a former life, both as a journo and corporate PR, I was involved in plenty of these types of spruiking and spiking events, on both sides of the fence. Feeding both The Australian dataroon column and AFR Street Talk column. A common tactic from a company, fund or broker that wants to acquire more shares or hopes the SP doesn't run too hard before they've acquired the amount of shares they want and/or a very positive sign if a company is employing the tactic to stop the share price going up prior to a bid. Time will tell.

·Reading the latest Dataroom column (see here) on Spartan Resources recent capital raising has done very little to persuade us otherwise on our views of where the source of information comes for The Australian. Certainly a bit of talking down is being done. Someone is certainly interested in talking down Spartan
