EL, thanks for that, I knew if I made a sweeping generalisation I'd be proven wrong, LOL! I see Birdsville has a 120 kW net power output so it isn't much but it does count. Is it grid connected though? PAX say that Penola is "positioned to be the first commercial grid connected geothermal power plant in Australia" so I guess that is what I meant. Plus I was considering 1MW output or greater.
Re: the economics, I will defer to you on that. A handsome return will be nice, but if not a modest return in the knowledge that my hard-earned is going toward clean geothermal energy here in Aus would be fine as well. I notice you are still a holder so the figures can't be too bad?
