I agree that 57% acceptance seems low but other reasons may be:
- not available to foreign shareholders (I’m sure there would be some)
- postage delays (and household delays). I’m guilty of leaving this sort of mail unopened for a week or two after it arrives. Luckily I knew it should be coming and looked for it, but it only arrived with a few days to spare. If you weren’t aware of the original announcement then it would seem like very short notice and many people may not
have the cash ready, let alone time to research what was on offer.
Anyway, glad I got in for the full 1.5x and SHV are able to proceed with the purchase.
