Divested not moment too soon.
SAEC is a stranded asset. While SAfrica is in economic chaos and may need coal a little longer, their major export customer India is moving to renewables with remarkable determination. It has abundant wind and sun, and a strong desire to reduce energy imports.
SAEC needs significant capex to open new deposits just to stay in business. S32 is well rid of it.
