Ridiculous. I am a US shareholder, and I regularly invest in foreign companies. I have never seen anything like this before, and am aware of no regulation that would prevent OBL from accessing both US institutional and retail markets. I'm not a lawyer, but it's not an 'either/or' situation.
Is there some underlying reason for doing this that they are not being forthcoming about?
Frankly, if this is management's approach to building a shareholder base (for a company that has US operations, no less), they can go **** themselves. Unsurprising that this is ~5% down today.
