Fascinating. ARB get its hands on its troubled former retail partner in the US - 4 Wheel Parts (4WP). It would seem that 4WP has been ridden into the ground under private equity ownership in the last two years, and was a major reason for the headwinds ARB has experienced over this period for export sales in the US. The owner of 4WP (Wheel Pros) has "restructured" the business - including reducing the store count from 100 to under 50! 4WP was bought by Wheel Pros for US$50m in 2022. Hopefully the reputation of 4WP has not been too damaged in the process, it sounds like ARB has full confidence in its associate Off Road Warehouse (ORW) to resurrect the business.
The footprint of the 4WP business does appear to neatly complement the small ORW network. 4WP will add 17 stores in Florida and Texas where ORW has no store at all, plus an extra 17 stores in California and 4 in Colorado is added to the ORW network.
Now with an involvement with ORW, Nacho, 4WP as well as building its own flagship store in Seattle, ARB has a lot fingers in pies in the US.
