- ARB has an 30% stake in ORW.
- ORW (and ARB) want to buy AWP for $30 mio, but ORW in itself has not got enough money.
- ARB sends money to ORW in exchange for an increase in their equity stake from 30% to 50%.
Perhaps, this is the way they do it.
On a different topic: so, ARB indirectly buys another distribution / asset for $30 mio (thereby increasing its foothold in the US), and consequently ARB's market cap goes up by a whopping $180 mio. That's quite optimistic by Mr market.
